Big Wednesday at Crescent Head

Stylish surf shack, walking distance to the beach

Big Wednesday has been named after the iconic movie, which was loved for its waves and laidback cool. Our beach cottage on the Mid North Coast of NSW has been designed to emulate this same coastal-cool.

A Queenslander-style holiday home, this 3-bedroom property has recently been given some fresh love with renovated interiors, complementing the original features including pastel stained glass and intricate timber detailing.

Explore the area’s top waves and beautiful natural icons of the destination from this character-filled cottage.

The space
Big Wednesday is a three-bedroom property, with the capacity to sleep up to eight people, but six people comfortably. Interior wise, think casual relaxed living, a pastel colour palette with beachy touches and beautiful stained-glass windows. The unique butterfly staircase leads from the ground level, up to the front entry and it’s here you can take in the incredible mountain views. A little coastal, a little chic. When you stay at Big Wednesday, you’ll be getting all the tropical island feels.

Guest access
All guests have full use of the house.

“Great stylish house with old world charm, it was a calming place to return to after a fun morning surfing or hanging by the river. The kids loved the verandah and hanging out on the little seat by the frangipani out the front. Great location to head out to dinner or grab a morning coffee. We had a couple of drinks at the new surf club too which had great views. Bianca, our host, was speedy with responses and a delight to deal with. Can’t recommend this place enough, we will be back.” “

CARLY

“A fun and homely space kitted out with all of the things you need to relax and let loose when you are on holidays. The kids loved having their own room to chill out and I loved the bay window seats to read books at night time. The porch was where we all loved to sit and watch the town go by and the close distance to the beach and bakery (yum!) make staying here all so easy. A family favorite and we will enjoy coming back here time and time again. Thank you big Wednesday!!! “
